Renate is like a stand-in mom for all the students; she can be strict, but she also has a heart of gold. She is the one you can talk to, whether you're heartbroken, think life is tough, or just want a hug. Renate spreads joy to everyone with little quotes around the school, but don't be fooled. She is also the one who can shout out during an otherwise quiet breakfast - to check if the students are actually awake. This lady loves books, good coffee, and produces beautiful knitted sweaters in abundance. She's not the type to typically run up the highest peaks, but she has been to Togga (!) - which isn't easy with a fear of heights! One of her favorite places is "the cabin" in Ålfoten, and it is often used for recreation. Renate lives in Kaupanger with her husband and two children, and a small, cute dog named Millie.
