A student and youth village
Sogndal is not like other western villages. In addition to the 7,500 permanent residents, there are a whopping 3,000 students and schoolchildren here!
At the student house Meieriet you will find a café, concert venue and outdoor venue. The list of artists who visit Sogndal throughout the year is impressive.
Active leisure - from fjord to mountain
Spectacular mountains and fjord arms surround us on all sides. Just a 15 minute drive and you are at the entrance to a series of alpine mountain areas.
Here you will usually find snow from December until well into the summer! An hour's drive takes you to Sognefjellet or Jostedalsbreen. Two ski centers are located approx. 15 minutes by car from the school. The mountain sports festival in Sogndal has led many to discover the unique mountains in the Sogndal area.
Around us you will also find opportunities for kayaking and spectacular ascents in the fjord landscape.
