Expedition to Kilimanjaro

Join us on an unforgettable study trip to Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain! This expedition gives you the opportunity to experience the majestic nature and unique culture of Tanzania, while challenging yourself on one of the world's most iconic summit trips. Over several days, we will most likely climb the mountain via the scenic Machame route, where you will navigate through lush rainforest, open plains, and alpine areas.

Along the way, you will learn about altitude acclimatization, team building, and climbing techniques, while sharing memories and experiences with your classmates. This is not just a physical challenge, but an opportunity to experience community and personal growth in magnificent nature. Get ready for the adventure!

Sogndal is known for its fantastic snow, with raw forest skiing, opportunities for jumps and drops, as well as long, flowing runs. Spring in Sogn is unique. The apple trees bloom by the fjord, while the mountain peaks are still covered in snow. The day usually starts with a sunny ski trip in the mountains, before we end with a refreshing swim in the fjord. This combination of winter and spring makes Sogndal a unique place for skiing.

Study trips

Study trip spring: Kilimanjaro - Africa

Join us on an exciting study trip to Tanzania, where you will climb Kilimanjaro and experience Serengeti's magnificent wildlife. The trip concludes in Zanzibar with sports activities, local culture, and meaningful projects that support the local community.

  • The trek takes you to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa's highest mountain at 5895 meters. The route follows the Machame Trail, which is considered one of the most varied and scenic routes to the summit. The trek begins in the rainforest and continues through high mountain landscapes with views of glaciers and open plains.

The trek lasts nine days on the mountain, allowing plenty of time for acclimatization. The trek includes overnight stays in tents, and the days consist of hiking, communal meals, and time to rest and experience nature. Local guides and porters provide safety, cooking, and logistics throughout the climb.

Evenings are spent in camp with simple comfort and fellowship. The weather varies from warm days in the lowlands to cold and frost near the summit. The climb does not require any technical climbing, but good physical fitness and patience are required to reach Uhuru Peak.

The trip provides experience with high mountain outdoor activities, cooperation in demanding nature, and insight into local environmental and cultural conditions.
