Skiing

When the snow settles like a blanket over the mountains, it's all about randonnee skiing and ski touring here with us! On this program, you get a winter full of experiences where the goal is to make you safe in the mountains, so you can plan and carry out your own winter trips under varied conditions.

We start with the most important thing: finding the best snow and traveling safely in avalanche terrain. Throughout the season, you will learn far more than a regular avalanche course – here we go in depth! You gain insight into terrain selection, snow profiles, stability tests, snow transformation, and how weather affects avalanche conditions. In other words: You will be well equipped to handle whatever the winter mountains may offer.

Sogndal is a winter paradise! The school is located right in the heart of ski touring terrain. Just 15–20 minutes away you will find the most iconic peaks in Sogndalsdalen. And if we drive a little further, the entire spectacular Jostedalen, Leirdalen, Jotunheimen and Hurrungane opens up. The possibilities are almost endless!

As the icing on the cake, the study trip goes to magical Lofoten, where we explore some of Norway's most spectacular mountains and coastal landscapes. Unforgettable ski tours with views over the sea, chalk-white beaches and mighty mountains await – an adventure you will never forget!
