Welcome to the mini-folk college!

This is the opportunity you've been waiting for! Instead of just hearing about all the great things the students have experienced during the year, we invite you to join us for a short but eventful day inspired by life at a folk high school.

Now you finally have the chance to take part in some of the things that have characterized the year here with us – community, nature experiences, good food and closeness to nature.

What should we do?

On Friday afternoon you will get a taste of some of the activities our students have enjoyed throughout the year. There will be kayaking/canoeing on the Sognefjord, climbing the rock face at Kvam with a view of the fjord and good food outside. Spring is a fantastic time here in Sogn – the snow is melting in the mountains, the birds have returned, and there is light until late at night. It provides the perfect setting for great experiences.

Time:
Starts Friday, May 9th at 2:00 PM

Place:
Meeting and closing on the school grounds. Activities take place in the surrounding area.

Program

Friday, May 9

2:00 PM – Welcome to the school and a joint meeting with information about the weekend and practical review
2:30 PM – Paddling on the Sognefjord, into the Barsnesfjord to Kvam.

4:00 PM - We have a snack.
5:00 PM – Climbing session. No experience needed – we provide equipment and instruction.
Evening – Bonfire and dinner outside on the climbing field.

21.00 - Return to Sogndal

Price:

The price is 300kr per person, including food and drinks, and equipment rental. 150kr for children.
