Martin Buch Larsen
Martin is our quintessential 'Sogndaling' and more traditionally Norwegian than most. He's all about sheep, traditional organic farming, and wool sweaters. He hides well that he is a fashion lion, but every year about 20 'Martin sweaters' are knitted. Martin has commitment in abundance, he does not shy away from roaring for the climate, entering into solar cell agreements with the boss before he has time to think, or focusing on what is needed for Mother Earth. He is good at seeing solutions and always walks at a furious pace, often with a guitar in hand. Cycling and skiing are the reasons he ended up in Sogndal, but the reasons for staying became quite different. If you need tips for the local winter route, ask Martin, he is a snow avalanche warning observer and knows the neighborhood well. This autumn, he and his wife Mathilde have planted no less than 3000 white cabbages, and supply many a company with home-picked vegetables. Good thing they have some kids who can help with the harvesting.
