Sogndal Folk High School is a liberal arts college located in the center of Sogndal with approximately 80 students. We have the following courses: Outdoor Life, Cycling and Skiing, Photo Design, Skiing and Climbing, Photo Travel and Sports.
Sogndal Folk High School is a general education school, with an emphasis on personal development through a broad range of subjects. The school's values are equality, democracy and sustainable community.
100% permanent position:
We are looking for a teacher for the newly established line "Bicycle and Skiing". We want someone with teaching skills and experience in trail cycling, skiing and outdoor activities in general.
75% interim position:
For the 2016-17 school year, we have a vacant position as a teacher in the "Outdoor Activities" program. We are looking for a person with teaching skills and experience from outdoor activities in various environments.
We are looking for committed individuals who are passionate about their field. Emphasis is placed on having other fields of study that can be used in electives and core subjects. Knowledge and interest in music is an important environmental factor at the school, and will strengthen your application. You must enjoy being with students, and facilitating learning and good experiences at school and on trips. The goal is to give the students the best possible year at Sogndal Folk High School.
Social and educational work is integrated into the positions; including as a supervisor evening/weekend, and at various evening and weekend events.
