Sogndal Folk High School

Sogndal Folk High School is an open-minded folk high school, located in the middle of some of the most beautiful nature that Western Norway has to offer. Fjords and mountains are a natural part of our everyday lives, and all the courses actively use the surroundings in their teaching.

Our goal is to facilitate academic and personal development for students, so that they are better equipped to take responsibility for themselves, society and the environment. The school will be a pioneering school in sustainability, where teaching gives students both hope and tools to live more sustainable lives.

Every year, around a hundred students from Norway and abroad come to immerse themselves in their interests. Working with us is both intense and rewarding, and everyday school life consists of teaching, trips, social and educational work, and evening and weekend events.
