Welcome to a new and exciting week at Sogndal Folk High School!

This is the phrase you'll be greeted with every Monday at morning assembly if you become a student with us in the fall. We are in the middle of January, and February 1st is fast approaching. Perhaps you have already submitted an application to us and are counting down to when the admission starts? Or maybe you are curious about who we are and are studying the website up and down to find the program that suits you best? Whether you have applied yet or not - welcome to apply to us!

How to apply?
Go to folkehøgskole.no/sogndal, find the program you want to attend and click through. Here you write a little about yourself, what you have done before, what you like to do, and what you hope to get out of the school year - so that we get to know you better! Then fill in the necessary information such as name, date of birth, social security number, and the like, and submit the application! It's as simple as that! :)

What happens now?
After you have sent the application to us, you will receive an email from principal Ole Karsten until January 31st, stating that we have received your application and some other information. Then we come to the big day: February 1st! On this day, we send out SMS and email continuously to everyone who is offered a place at our school. In addition, we send this by post. Then you have 10 days to decide whether you want to accept the place or not, but please reply as soon as you have decided! If you accept, you will receive a written confirmation that you have a place at our school, and you will also receive an invitation to a Facebook group for your school year. Before the school year starts, this is used for some information from the school, all employees and scholarship holders tell a little about themselves, and you may get to know those who will be your fellow students. When the school year starts, this group becomes one of the channels where information is given.

Rolling admission
The most popular programs fill up quickly, but we have rolling admissions until the start of school as long as we have vacancies. We hope to see you on our grounds in August!
