Sogndal Folk High School is a liberal arts college located in the center of Sogndal. The school has approx. 90 students. We have the following courses: Outdoor Life, Cycling and Skiing, Photo Design, Skiing and Climbing, Photo Travel and Sports.

Department manager 100% permanent position.
Job description
As a department head/boarding house manager, you will be responsible for the staff in the kitchen and cleaning. You will also be responsible for training students in kitchen service, training and following up on students in cleaning at boarding houses, etc. The department head is close to the students and should be someone they can come to with major and minor challenges - such as homesickness, illness, bereavement or anything else that may arise. You will also be responsible for the administration of summer operations and rental activities, together with the office manager.
Area of responsibility and work:
Kitchen and cleaning manager
Organizing student assignments in the dormitory and common area
Adult contact/conversation partner for students
Link to the health service
Rental/summer operation
Desired qualifications
Experience working with youth
Certificate in cooking/teaching/social worker/care worker or other relevant education
Trustworthy, committed and independent
Personal qualities and experience will be given great importance.
There will be some evening and weekend work. Salary and working conditions by agreement and qualifications in line with the school's collective agreement with Virke. Good pension and insurance schemes. For more information about the school, see here on our website.

We have a vacancy for a teacher in the "Outdoor Activities" program. We are looking for someone with teaching skills and experience in outdoor activities in various environments.
Outdoor education teacher 70-90% part-time position for the school year 2017/18
We have a vacancy for a teacher in the "Outdoor Activities" course. We are looking for a person with teaching skills and experience from outdoor activities in various environments.
We are looking for committed individuals who are passionate about their field of study. Emphasis is placed on having other fields of study that can be used in elective and core subjects. Knowledge and interest in music is an important environmental factor at the school, and will strengthen your application. You must enjoy being with students, and facilitating learning and good experiences at school and on trips. The goal is to give the students the best possible year at Sogndal Folk High School.
Social and educational work is integrated into the positions; including as a supervisor evening/weekend, and at various evening and weekend events.
