Announcement: Inspector at Sogndal Folk High School
About the school
Sogndal Folk High School is an open-minded folk high school. The school is located in the heart of the most beautiful nature that Western Norway has to offer. All of our courses actively use both mountains and fjords in their teaching.
Our goal is to facilitate academic and personal development for students, so that they can better take responsibility for themselves, for society and for the environment. Sogndal Folk High School shall be a pioneering school in sustainability.
The position
We are looking for a committed and clear inspector with good pedagogical and administrative experience. The position involves close cooperation with the principal and management, and is central to the development of the educational offer at the school and the social learning environment.
The position is 100%, starting August 1, 2026.
The position is divided between management/administration and teaching according to needs and the expertise you have.
Work tasks
As an inspector, you will be responsible for, among other things:
Pedagogical management, including planning and monitoring of teaching and students.
Staff monitoring, guidance and collaboration with teaching staff.
Active participation in school development and quality assurance of educational work.
To act as deputy to the principal when necessary and to be part of the school's leadership group.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
Relevant higher education, preferably pedagogical education or relevant leadership education.
Experience in teaching and/or administrative work in the school sector, preferably with leadership experience.
Good relational skills and ability for collaboration and development.
Ability to work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and with a high degree of responsibility.
Personal property will be emphasized.
